Yesterday you'd barely begun
today.

all I’ve let go of
leaves me standing tall and free
and all that remains
is to feel all that passes
like the wind moving through me
Who am I
to say hush
when everything is teeming
blooming
in full force.
Hush,
draw near and listen.
Go in
where it helps to be quiet
and kind.
You are ordered like the stars
whose light began traveling long ago
just to reach you
on this night.
Is that a construction smoke chimney? Or is it one of those mega huge ships, heavy, slow, solemn, dignified…

time tells...

now faded and flagging
above this solitary side walk
now look what you’ve done!
how will we get down from here?!
